You've Got The Love

Actually I've got the love! My SATC The Movie DVD arrived complete with voucher that entitles me to go into Woolworths and collect my free LOVE key chain!! And here is the little gem in question! I'm not sure how long it will be before the gold paint wears off but for now I shall be taking the LOVE with me everywhere I go!

And I need to this week for Other Half is away as of this morning until Friday night and I hate it... I always feel like I've lost my right arm when he's away for any period of time. For someone who was once single, lived alone and was fiercely independent, I know I should be more than capable of existing for a few days sans husband without skulking about the house feeling all lonesome!  I know that Small Child will be sick of the sight of just me by the time he comes home again - she loves it on the nights he gets in early enough to spend bath or bedtime with her. The hysterical giggles and madcap rumpus that quickly follows the sound of his key in the door is just what you need when she's supposed to be calming down for bed... but I wouldn't change it for the world!

Having had a dysfunctional, followed by no relationship with my own father, my heart swells when I see my two together; knowing that she will never grow up with the feeling that something, somewhere is missing is just the best.
So I'm off to pick her up from pre-school a bit earlier tonight so I can get some extra cuddles in before bedtime! I'll tell her they're from Daddy to her but I suspect they will be for my benefit too!

Isn't it so wonderful to live in the moment and be grateful for what we have - I wish I did it more often. Your post has persuaded me to notice more!!

Ooh, I was just thinking that when I do my shopping today I'd pick up the SATC dvd, like yourself and ACTTF I'm a huge and massive fan.

If you miss him too much, let me know and I'll pop round with wine and chocolate and keep you company.

A good relationship with your parents and feeling loved is the best. Even though I don't live with my husband any more, he always was and remains a fantastic father and I am very grateful that we had 20 years and 3 fabulous children together.

My hubby had a day with our little girl on Saturday (while mummy was off being pampered!) and he loved it. Said it was exhausting and at times he thought 'who is this precocious little madam?' but he said it was a joy to spend time with her.

And I felt quite guilty for takin those times for granted because I get to do that all the time.

Sorry to comment again, I have been reading you inbetween doing the washing, cleaning the bathrooms, making lunch etc and reading this post brings back memories for me. Monday 22nd September was one of my daughters 16th birthday and after school she went shopping to buy clothes (she is her mothers daughter!). Anyway she came back late that night, weighed down with Topshop and River Island bags and said "here you are Mum, I bought you something" and yes, bless her (which is hard because she is the cowbag out of the 3 girls) she produced the SATC movie on DVD.
